A scan needing CAD work and an approved restoration STL are different starting points. State whether you need design support or fabrication of an existing design. Do not assume that uploading a file authorizes changes to anatomy, margins or contacts.
Define how a manufacturability concern will be returned to your team. The useful response is an identifiable issue, an annotated location and a clear decision request—not an undocumented change inside a replacement file.
Match the material to the restoration
Ask for the exact zirconia product and approved indication. Zirconia portfolios can contain variants with different properties and applications; one material family name is not a complete specification.[1]
Your lab should identify permitted substitutions, if any, before production. A different disc should not be treated as an automatic equivalent merely because the shade designation matches.
Specify the delivery state
Clarify whether the quotation includes sintering and the requested finishing. A line item that says only “zirconia unit” does not define characterization, glazing, polishing or other work assigned to your technicians.
Not every proposed delivery state is necessarily offered. Confirm the available scope before approving a pilot and compare equivalent outputs when evaluating suppliers.
Plan the first shipment
Provide the destination ZIP code, proposed batch size and receiving requirements. Request separate information for production release and transit. Import and documentation responsibilities must be resolved before physical fulfillment is confirmed.
For repeat production, use the pilot to establish an approved specification and communication process. Do not extrapolate sustained capacity or a remake rate from one successful restoration.
